Low Classroom Ratios Support Social Skills

Low Classroom Ratios
Support Social Skills

Ratios at 1:3 for infants, 1:6 for toddlers, and 1:10 for preschoolers gives children space to learn amongst one another, but also from each other, honing social skills. They receive more one-on-one attention from trusted teachers this way.

A Clean And Safe
Environment Support Learning

Professional deep cleaning of your child’s spaces, and sanitized tools and surfaces safeguard your child’s health. While cameras, limited access entryways, and fenced-in yards provide safety and privacy, giving you peace of mind.

Montessori is based on the principle of free choice of purposeful activity. If your child is being destructive or is using materials in an aimless way, the teacher intervenes and gently redirects your child.

We stress respect and help your child put that to action from the start.

When occasional behavior challenges do arise, we handle them in an age-appropriate way with firm sensitivity. The rules are clear and the consequences fair and consistent. We primarily use redirection.

If the situation escalates, your child is asked to “sit out” until they gain self-control. Physical punishment or shaming is never practiced.

We keep lines of communication open with parents. If the situation warrants, we work with parents to address ongoing behavior issues. We also encourage parents to talk to us about behavioral challenges they are seeing at home, ones we may not see at school. Working together, parents and teachers make a great team.

Montessori children usually adapt very well. Our programs help children develop a positive self-image, independence, and confidence so they can face challenges and change with flexibility and optimism.
